letter from a friend

Today is Thanksgiving 11/24/11
and I was thinking about my friend who is confined to a prison and cannot be able to celebrate thanksgiving with his family.so I am posting a letter that he wrote me in 2005
6/6/05
Dear Ms.V
I received your wonderful letter and those inspiring words of encouragement and please know that it made my heart glad. You spoke correctly, moving my trail out of Dekalb County was a mistake that I pray will be rectified by the Ga Supreme Court.
As known oral arangements focused on the supposed theft of services that I was convicted, which then flowed into the RICO case ,which then flowed over into the murder charge. The justices seemed to have a problem with sending employess on personal errands and calling that a felony theft.I pray common sense and the law will prevail,so I will see another day in court. In the end God is still on the throne.
The Dorsey and King family"s of yesterday enjoyed up close and personal relationships my aunt Mattie introduced Alberta to Daddy King on a blind date and was her maid of honor at their wedding mean while daddy King and my grand dad Rev J.S.Dorsey were very close friends.Within hours of Dr. kings death a former colleague an Atlanta motorcycle officer was killed while riding home from work.I was stunned I could not believe it. two people that I know having been killed in the same day.(note the officer was killed in a traffic accident and not related to the King matter). The Kings are a remarkable family courgeous and poised as I remember Daddy King saying, I will never hate any man"
I wish you total success in your project.
with total regards
Sidney

letter to Sidney 5/20/08

Dear Sidney,

Sorry it took me so long to write to you,but I lost the letter with your address.I was cleaning out a few of my dresser draws throwing away some old letters and bills, and I found your letter with your address,an I said to myself I guess I better write to my old friend an classmate,an let him know that I am praying for him everyday.
I hope you are doing as well as can be expected.are you going to be able to get out on parole anytime in the near future? your uncle is a member of my church Bethlehem Baptist church, but I just wanted to let you know that I am still your friend, and my family will keep you in our prayers.I was a little surprised when they said that you confessed to having the man murdered, because I was so sure that you did not have any involvement in what went down:
I know that in some cases life in prison means about fifteen yrs.does that apply to your case?
I just wish you never ran for Sheriff and this would have never happened, but I also know that you can not turn back the clock, but I wish that main snitch Patrick Duffey was serving time in jail too.I think I read some where that he had been shot but what goes around comes around what ever you do to someone will come back to you ten fold, and he will get his before he leaves this world, after all he was the trigger man he walked away scott free.
Sincerely your friend Lady P.
