letter to the late Poison Ivey from his Sister
Dec /12/74
Dear Bro.
I received your letter today Dec 12. I was soo happy to hear from you, when I got home from work I tried to eat and I lost my appetite. I am going to answer all of your questions, but first I want you to know that everything is doing fine at this moment.I have myself together pretty well for now. I am trying hard to pull myself up to be a real woman.
You asked what happen to the baby? I came home from work on Friday,we get off at 11:30.
I was playing with the baby she began to cough and she never caught her breath. The doctor and the coroner said aspirations of the stomach went into her lungs and windpipe and she died.It was a natural death, she died in my arms........
About daddys wreck,he was in mr. Sheppards truck he wasn,t driving the pickup,he blacked out,he wasn,t drinking, because I talked to him at lunch time and the accident was a half hour later....yes it was the Bob Dixon that you use to mess with who prinise married. The part about mother..I mean grandmother thats the only person that I will ever consider as mother, there was no way grandmother could have sent you any money, she isn,t working, but dad is.
Please don,t fault grandmother for it...You have one hundred and thirty seven dollars here in the bank that I put in for your income tax...Ronnie have been in the hospital for a long time now,his nerves went down on him.he was pitiful, but he is better now...He was here for the babys funeral. He isn,t able to do anything his address is Ronnie ---- Martin Army Hospital
I thought you knew all of this,I thought Lizzie was keeping you in touch......
My hair is turning, but I am not worried, because I know I have God on my side...yes Jr. and Charles both are out and doing fine.If there is anything else you want to know, when you write back let me know okay.I will give you the best answer I can.
Love you always
Sis Audrey
